Upgrading modules in Drupal can be performed from the web-interface. Unfortunately but understandably, this is not the case for the Core system. That requires a download and install by hand, replacing the current software tree while saving the current configuration, modules, themes, and libraries. After installing the Drupal core, the Reports section in the administrator’s interface warns us that APC is installed but not enabled. This feature makes it possible to show the progress of a file upload to the server.
