After all these fine articles we wrote to get your attention, wouldn’t it be nice if people were able to contact us? For the current website is yet not much more than a collection of postings.
So we deploy the Contact Form 7 plugin to create a page where people can get in touch with the website owners.
We start by downloading the software and extracting it in our plugins directory:
cd wp-content/plugins/ unzip .../contact-form-xxx.zip
Now we log in as the administrator and click to Plugins where we can activate the newly installed plugin.
Then we click Settings to further configure our contact form:
We can leave the form template as it is right now. We only adjust the mail address messages are sent to.
After clicking the Save button, we are ready to include this form into our postings. We do so by placing this line at the desired location in our text (replace the vertical lines by square brackets):

As you might have guessed, you can create other forms with other names as well (using the Add new link), and include these in a similar way.
As you can see, we included a contact form here in this posting:
Of course, you do not want to include a contact form in your every posting. You better create a separate contact page that visitors can access from the menu on the top of the page.
So we go to Pages -> Add New, where we create a new page with Contact as the title and the form tag as the body. Below the form we include additional contact data.
Do not forget to deselect the Discussion flags at the bottom, as you do not want your visitors to comment on your Contact form.
After clicking the Publish button, the new Contact page is available in the menu at the top.
Now you can fill out some data in the form to test it and make sure that the message is delivered to your mailbox.
